🐳 Introducing marine CDR to the San Francisco tech community

As part of our mission to improve ocean health by making marine CDR effective, transparent and trusted, Submarine is working to evangelize and explain marine CDR to broader communities. Recently we had the opportunity to present an overview to the ocean tech community in our home base, the San Francisco Bay Area.  Known throughout the world as a key center of advanced technology, San Francisco is also rapidly becoming a center for blue tech startups, knowhow and investment. At the center of this community is SFBT (San Francisco Blue Tech), an organization dedicated to building a community around the idea of using technology to understand, conserve and sustainably benefit from our global oceans.

One of the most promising new ocean technologies is marine CDR. Submarine's Jonathan Kirk heads up SFBT's marine CDR 'vertical' (industry practice area), and in March, Jonathan presented an overview of marine CDR, its benefits and unknowns, and the Bay Area companies involved to the assembled crowd. Jonathan illustrated how Submarine's ocean modeling technology and expertise is benefiting mCDR companies and the industry as a whole.
